Changing out rear shocks... been working on the front end as well. Trucks at 227k miles with original shocks and was seriously in need of an overhaul. Now i'm looking at replacing the leaf springs and maybe the coil springs because I ended up reusing those

In honor of the first forecasted snowfall of the year here in WI I put the mudflaps back on. Trimmed them last year when I put them on. Good thing we got the Krown resprayed last week:thumbsup:

Got my compressor installed before heading out to Moab. I won the compressor 5 years ago and FINALLY got it in. Having kids really slows things down!31C661E8-F60B-429C-90A5-F13F1BA3AE4E.jpg 8CD3F326-9CB6-4FA6-B352-917E54D280FD.jpg

Just another oil change. Knocked the engine air filter against my hand to get the big stuff out. Need to replace it soon. Checked the usual fluids. Forgot to grease the driveshaft so I'll probably do that tomorrow

Hopefully this is my last question about replacing my suspension, but here we go.

I am going to replace the rear leaf springs with some 2021 takeoffs in a couple of days with only a few thousand miles on them. My current springs are the TSB with 45K miles on them. Should I add an add-a-leaf to them or no? I just don't want to be "drooping" in the rear after replacing all of the suspension with the 2021 Struts and Springs.

Good call. I should put my fronts back on. I’m surprised my truck hasn’t rusted more, being a northern taco. Still on the original frame unlike most 2nd gens

Just a rinse. It'll get a proper wash before the snow but this is prime trail weather so it's constantly dirty.

I just did engine and cabin filters yesterday. They were pretty dirty only after a year. I guess that'll be my interval.

It seems so far to be a less of a problem in post 2010 Tacomas. I keep my lathered in fluid film and surface shield.

Yup me too! My worst spot is the cab mounts but those are still only superficial.

I think I've replaced the cabin air filter two times and the engine air filter only once in 2.5 years of having this truck

This gave me some faith on keeping my DCLB. Been contemplating selling my prerunner and look for a DCSB but seeing the aftermarket bumpers, lift, topper gives me hope that mine can look just as good. I have all the parts (lift, wheels/tires and topper, (front bumper is 14 weeks out)) just need to install them.

I've bought those same lights to replace the burnt out ones in mine and they only worked for a couple days before the plastic melted and they failed.

Tried multiple options include OE ones and for whatever reason, my HVAC Control lights don't want to work. I've been riding with them dark for about 3 years, LOL

I may buy another set and try AGAIN but not holding out for much hope.

Please tell me more. 99.9999% of TW'ers getting a tune are third gen. Haven't been able to get much feedback from a 2nd gen'r like myself

153,000 miles on my tacoma, always ran like a top. Talked with Aaron from tuned yota and he was very helpful. Set me up with Noah from Sheboygan WI. The truck is quicker, smoother and hauling a trailer load of firewood. Was effortless. I know it might seem like alot of money but the results were worth it
