    Yeah, OP=Original Poster

Folks around here will "take the piss" (British term I learned from my Scottish wife) and make fun about anything...which is very entertaining...hope you're thick-skinned.

I saw that Sport Bar as I was browsing side steps but wasn't interested in it. Since I have a short-bed, I think it would limit the loads put in the bed.

My short-bed has been utilized for moving furniture and boxes to/from my storage unit so I wouldn't find it a benefit.

You gotta admit, these guys/gals on here are "on it" when it comes to "playing on words."

You could put out a feeler ad in the buy/sell/trade or 3rd Gen section and see if anyone would potentially be interested. Would be nice if you already had a buyer lined up before the truck shows up.

is the go rhino model what's included from toyota?

    i haven't seen the toyota-specific roll bar...

i still like roll bars, but i need to do everything the more difficult way because i'm not willing to sacrifice my tonneau cover!

mark me as curious what it looks like. if it's adjustable to my needs, i'm interested, but skeptical.

now if it was anything like the back to the future truck, i'd be sold instantly. that one bolted up to the accessory rails.

I bet it sells quickly. Tons of dudes can't wait to bolt the next pos thing to their trucks. Practically standing in line to do it.

I'm not sure what the brand is. On my spec sheet from the dealer, the steps are noted as Predator but then it just says "sport bar" as a $599 option. I've seen 1 video on youtube that shows one that says Toyota on the sides.

This is the only one I've found on the internet that may be a from the factory.

In theory these bars help prevent cab damage in a roll over, in practice it gets used to mount lights and other accessories that would then get destroyed if the truck rolled over.

I do not think Toyota makes any sort of real or fake roll bar for the 3rd gen Tacoma. There do appear to be a few aftermarket fake roll bars including one posted above called a “sport bar”.

This might be one of those high markup mandatory accessories that dealerships are pushing.

I love mine. AND I gained 20 HP while also getting 3 more MpG

It is like bed rails for a crib. Lets me stack crap higher near the cab and holds it in.

I’m curious what the Toyota one looks like on the truck. Chevy and Nissan have them now as optional accessories.

I have had my Black Horse one now for a few years and it’s probably my favorite thing on the truck. It was my favorite thing on my 2013 and on my 1993.

I might have watched BTTF a few too many times.

Best thing about the southern tier is that the northern tier is actually south of it.
