Interesting, I didn't know that; fortunately I'm picking up a TRD Sport tomorrow so it's all good.

I did mine through TFS. They had the best rates around at the time I picked it up -- by a long shot.

I was especially interested in picking mine up before Oct 3rd because that was the end of the last rate period. Given the current inflation, I though the rates would go up on the 4th for sure. Through the help of Rod and the app notifications, I knew my truck was rolling off the semi -- on Oct 3rd -- before my salesman did. I called him, and playing dumb, asked him is my truck had arrived. He walked out to the parking lot and watched it being off loaded as he was talking to me. I dropped everything, ran to the bank to get a check, drove down there, and was driving it home 1/2 hour before the dealership closed.

The next morning, my wife and I were VERY curious to see how much we saved by beating the rate hike only to find they held it at 2.49% until the 31st!

Yeah, TFS beats Navy Fed by just over 2 points and beats PenFed by over 3 points.

Hello! @Rod03 could I get an update for this VIN: 3TMCZ5AN1PM534450 please?
My dealer has been helpful on the $ deal, but not an ETA.

I would finance it at 2.49%, and if you change your mind you can always just pay it off. Make sure there's no prepayment penalties. USAA is currently offering 4.4%, and my last loan with them for a previous purchase was 3.29%. I think you're doing really well at 2.49%.

Hey @Rod03 !! Just got my permanent VIN: 3TYCZ5AN6PT108239 so i assume its been built. Curious what my build date was and where my taco is right now in its pregnancy?? Thanks!

Temp VIN shows build date should’ve been week 38, to give people reading this a timeline.

Agreed, at 2.49% it is a no-brainer to opt for financing.

I was planning on paying cash for mine but at 2.49% I'd finance for 36. Especially with all the buying opportunities currently presenting themselves.

In other news, my dealer successfully had the door edge guards and running boards removed from my build. Build date is 11/7.

Just a heads up. From what I saw, the 2 and 3 year loans aren't available anymore. The 2.49% is for four year. Dunno if that matters to you or not.

Wouldn't be the end of the world, I'd just pay it off early anyway.
