When I was 16, I was mowing the grass and, like an idiot, was going to adjust the wheels and reached underneath to lift it up. With it running. Chopped off the ends of my middle and ring finger. My girlfriend lived next door so I got her to take me to the hospital. While bleeding on my mom’s best towels. They sewed them back on. Good as new.

 

Still have feeling in it? My uncle said that it gets cold easily.

 

Would never happen today…

Yes. My ring finger is a little funky looking but I have feeling in both. And yes, they get cold first

 

Beautiful receiver from the golden age of Japanese HiFi.

The old speakers like mine were built right at the end of the vacuum tube era so they are very efficient, I ran them for years with a small 15 watt Sony receiver from the early 70's that finally developed a noise.

Now a small Harmon Kardon 45 watt unit does the job, it is only about 35 years old so hopefully it has some years to go.

My neighbor has three, able-bodied, teenagers. He asked me once if I’d mow his yard when I did mine, for $20…

The kids just finger their gizmos.
