Have you ever cleaned your evaporator? I know mine is growing some gnarly shit that makes the missus complain about my trucks smell when she rides in it

Around here, Craigslist is good too if you watch close enough.

I've found a few retired woodworkers/handymen who were downsizing and clearing out their old shops. I got a ton of bar, pipe, and C-clamps from one guy... I don't remember how much I paid but it was about 1/3 of what I'd expect for that lot.

Sometimes it helps to read between the lines. The clamps weren't even listed--the actual listing was something like "Cabinet with woodworking tools"--but I figured there was more and brought some extra cash just in case. It's easy to drive off with a truckload from someone like that.

Leave time to listen to their stories, too. It's part of the deal.

    Thanks!

I do need to add some heft to it, not to mention some "supports" on the leg to the face of the wheel.

    Never worked with concrete though...

Once the vise is bolted up, I'll bend some rod and weld it to the leg to attach the rod bender, and other misc items that should stay with it.

Seems like a weird place on that Lexus for a WaterPort, no? Did he have something protecting the window glass?

Cause the guy that repaired em bent his straight edge. I'm gonna true it up with a Dremel later. Right now I'm trying to get it to fit and line up with grille and bolt holes

Was originally planning on replacing the wall oven/cabinets with a full pantry closet. But with the tall cabinet next to the fridge the pantry wouldnt exactly serve much of a purpose other than to hide the microwave I plan on putting inside.
    IMG_20221017_204528446.jpg

Now Im thinking of doing another base cabinet in its spot with a little chunk of counter space for the microwave, possibly some shelves up above. Should open up the space rather nicely, and expose more of the brick chimney. Cost would be more or less the same by the time I frame up a closet and buy a door for it.

The lack of drywall work makes this new idea very appealing...

I haven't but I'll look into it, it's got something to do with my door seal I think. Drivers seat belt always gets damp when it's wet/rainy outside

Actually damp, damp? I know (up here at least) there's enough condensation that develops overnight the belt will feel 'damp' but isn't actually wet enough to start growing stuff.

The one beneficial side effect of the wife going through mold poisoning (right after Vid recovery) is that she has a super power sense of smell now for mold/mildew

Before her health issues she felt the cab/carpet of the truck was the source of my smell. Since the hospitalization, she now knows it's my evaporator coils growing the death cloud lol

His cup is probably underneath the passenger seat, which doesn't help
