Glad to be here, but I have the dealer installed KARR Alarm system which I have had no problems with it but how do I program it to stop resetting itself? Gets a little irritating especially for my wife. Does anyone have the guide for this? I thank you for your time and help with this, even though I get a chuckle watching it mess with my lady. Take care all.

    Describe ‘resetting itself’
On my 2015 the horn blasts several short honks in the early mornings
    Most annoying thing ever…

Sounds like the system is in Passive mode.
In the mode, the alarm will be activated after 30 seconds even if you don’t press the lock button.

    I’d try active mode.

I took the KARR alarm out of my 2015. The dealer had deactivated it as requested (it’s, IMO, mainly sold as a one-remote-to-rule-them-all convenience for dealers, partially subsidized by getting a few customers to overpay for an unremarkable alarm).

Because of that dealer business model and general stinginess around sharing security system details, there’s almost no info on the web regarding KARR alarms.

They come out pretty easily, although one is left with a bunch of abandoned T-taps with attendant insulation damage (mostly OK to ignore) and an important splice where the ignition circuit was rejoined when the control box was taken out (also OK as long as a good splice was made to reconnect the original cut wire).

Thank you all for the responses and I found the answer with the link from TnShooter. Wish I had found this site earlier but I look forward to reading the forums. Thanks again. Tacoma Shadow
