Anyone looking for a good deal on a fork, check out Jenson. Just grabbed a 2020 Fox 36 float factory 29”, Grip 2 for $600. They are new take offs from Ibis, ships without packaging but brand new at a damn good price.

Thanks. Decisions. Upgrade a fork or brakes…and neither are 100% needs :anonymous:

You know where I’m at, this is making progress towards a new build. I have the cockpit, dropper, wheels and tires left.

Upgrade to a coil spring instead of a new fork.

Brakes for sure, I’ve been loving these Codes I got from @abacall

all the power I need with the right amount of modulation. I’ve always been a fan of shimano brakes but these just make me happy for some reason haha

Sorry, I’m on vacation and just happened to check Jenson at the right time. Since the info was lacking on the website, I called them and apparently they’re leftovers they bought from Ibis. They were supposed to be OEM forks but Ibis went a different direction so they unloaded them. For $600, I’ll gladly snatch one up!

Just got back from CO/CO Springs trip. You guys weren't joking about the homeless. I was expecting some - like any inner city, but it seemed like they were everywhere. Didnt help that our shop for rentals was sandwiched between a liquor store and a laundromat.

Aside from that the riding/hiking was excellent. I'll throw some pics up eventually.

Anybody besides Marzochhi (Fox) making a coil fork? I would be interested to hear about your experience on one of those, besides the heavy weight I can only imagine the serious traction on one of those

Cane Creek makes the Helm in both air and coil.

Wheel was so wobbly, it was rubbing the frame and I was worried it would just blow up with the wrong impact. Plus, I realized I didn't have quick-link...

You aren't kidding, I've ridden there so many times with crazy weather. One ride it was hailing and 30 up top, almost 80 and sunny near the bottom. Glad it was a nice day out.

Man, the walk was rough. One of the things that actually made it worse was Sand Flats rd. I did the raptor bailout to get to the road quicker and was hoping I'd get a ride for the last bit. Nope. Just a bunch of jackasses in ATVs and trucks blasting by me. I clearly had a mechanical as I was walking my bike with my thumb out. Nothing.
Moab is a different place nowadays.

I ran a Fox 36 factory with the Push ACS3 for a couple of years. It is seriously the most reliable and best feeling fork I've run. Never had to mess with air pressure, the spring always behaved the same. Traction was superb, and compression and rebound was consistent every single day.

No we used Route Outfitters for our rentals. I let my GF find the bike rentals. Looks like we should have stopped by Gnarly B's however.
