calling all gaming techs

so lately i've had the itch for playing some nes games but don't wanna lug out the console out of the attic. i then heard about emulators. basically a handheld device that plays old games. my question is first how do these work and were would i get the games from? i've been reading about them and seems like you put the games on a memory stick. also been reading reviews and seems like the dingoo a320 or the gpx2 are the way to go. if any of you guys could shed some light about these two or anything that would enlighten me more about this emulators would be greatly appreciated. thank you

 

emulators aren't a handheld device that play old games.

To break it down real simple for you:

Emulator is a program that is your system.

For example:

zsnes is the Super Nintendo. It runs on your computer. Google zsnes.

A Rom is a game.

You download roms and play them with emulators.

Nowadays there are emulators you can run on your smart phone.

never seen those before....you should just get a psp and mod it.

Meh, once you get back into those old games, they aren't really as good as you remember them anyway.
