4 part fuel injection Service

Does my truck really need this, or is it snake oil? I drive a 2018 with 60,000 miles.

 

What do you mean by “4 part fuel injection service”?

 

Dealer break down
1. Pay me $100
2. Pay me another $100
3. Pay me yet another $100
4. Last one, you guessed it- pony up another $100

 

The dealership recommended a 4 part fuel injection Service at 60,000 miles.

 

Is the truck having problems related to fuel delivery ? If not, then there’s no reason to even consider it

 

Ask them what they mean by that.

 

I had it done on my 2017 at 60000 miles . I think it’s 180$ . It’s my money and it’s what I think matters. So it’s worth it in my opinion. Definitely not a diy . Need some special tools . Noticed better idle and performance .

Does your truck 'really' need this? No, it doesn't - but it is certainly your money to spend. Toyota D4S does a remarkable job of keeping the combustion chambers clean. I run a can of Seafoam (you chose your poison) every 15-20K miles. Mine idles dead smooth when not in a cleaning cycle. I have 56K miles.
