Haha. Not pressuring you David. I don’t really have an immediate use for them but I would totally buy them to tinker with if you decided to sell. Speaking of, I really should clear out some lights I have stored away. I got a bunch of random pods from caliraised, morimoto, and Amazon knock offs.

That happened to me once… I remember getting home from a great morning ride parking my gixxer and seconds after walking away I heard it fall. I think it was a combination of the kickstand not fully out and grade of the driveway. I had just replaced the stator cover, levers, and bar ends too I was so pissed. Glad I never wasted money on new fairings lol

I hear ya man! I bought that bike cheap and the body work was already trashed. I kept it cleaned and well maintained but didn’t care how it looked otherwise haha

Not bad at all and totally acceptable for a dirtbike. Here’s some pics of my old bike, it was all scraped up. In the second one you can see a hole in the tail fairing

I only had my 2014 FJR for 3 weeks when we took the auto train to Florida then rode across the Gulf Coast to LA then headed to AL for a FJR meet for a few days. When we left for home as we're cruising up the highway I got the irresistible urge telling me I needed to find a bathroom and find one NOW. Pulled into a rest area and Dianne hopped off the bike. For whatever reason I wasn't happy with how the bike was sitting so I moved it slightly, took my helmet off and handed it to her then sprinted into the rest room. I emerge several minutes later and walk out to find my new to me FJR laying on its left side in the parking lot. Broke the front fairing stay, scratched up left mirror, scratched up upper cowling, 2 nice paint chips in the front fender, and scratched up left saddlebag lid.

Yeah aftermarket plastics are hit or miss. Thanks I did like the color scheme, except white wheels are a bitch to keep clean! Regarding the hole not sure what happened but there were a couple chunks missing...that entire side was cracked and repaired but it bolted on very solid. One or both of the previous owners crashed it

That stings when it's a bike you just bought - consider it broken in lol

Are you adamant about a DR650?

These feels, I know them. I got my fairings painted by my Uncle (after I spent hours stripping the previous owners rattle can job off) on my old Katana. I spent all night getting them back on and didn't finish until 1 AM. I was so stoked I had to take it out for a ride. Went out and spent 2 hours riding the backroads, pull into a Wendy's for a snack. Leaving Wendy's was a left turn at a light that WOULD NOT CHANGE. This was before I knew the whole 2 cycle rule or any of that crap. I get off the bike, put the kick stand on and walk over to the button for pedestrians. The moment I hit the button I hear *crunch*. I run over to it and quickly pick it up, and in my rush pick it up too fast and drop it on THE OTHER SIDE. Cool. New painted plastics, scratched. Clutch lever, sheared. I start it in second I think and then shift clutchless and don't stop for anything till I make it home. Rolled through lights, stops signs, whatever all because I didn't run this one light.

That's super frustrating...the only bright side there was the baconator and making it home without getting pulled over

20 minutes after I bought my F800GS, I was pulling into my parking lot that had kind of a long S shaped driveway coming in, a car leaving was on the wrong side of the road and I didn't see it coming around the corner. Grabbed a handful of front brake while turned to avoid hitting it and the bike just flipped over instantly. Hooray crash bars though, just a couple scratches on those, no real damage, and I got over my fear of dropping it real quick.

The Rally is more of an off-road that can do on-road where the CB500X is more on-road that can do off-road. I love the Rally for what it is, but would like to have a CB500X too
