I added a compact 6 fuse box with relays to my Tacoma. I bought this fuse box which included the relays and all hardware needed for wiring things up. I also attached a 100A breaker to the side of it. Here are some pics:

The videos are great. They also don't mention the cuts you will get from working the wires around the exhaust pipes (that's my rookie mistake).

Started reading this thread months ago - made the mistake of starting at the beginning and realized I'd never catch up. So I started again at 1,000 and now up to 1125 so I'm getting there. So many nice ideas there so thanks to all those that contribute.

Bought my Taco a year ago with 46,000 miles and got it washed and vacuumed today so I could take some pics. It already had several nice additions such as tinted windows, vent shades, and ARE topper. Things I've added since are the mud flaps, aluminum running boards, Tacoma bed mat and JDMCAR organizers for the center console and glove box.

I also added the matte black vinyl on the hood soon after I bought it as the glare from the 3 rearward slanting surfaces produced far too much glare for my liking. I considered finding someone with a non-sport hood to just swap them out but didn't pursue that as I thought the black vinyl would look sharp. I didn't do the scoop itself because I thought I might either leave it white or do some other color and the jury is still out on that decision.

I sold a Mini Cooper S and FJ Cruiser to buy this to tow behind our RV. We were towing the Mini and while it made a great toad, it limited where we could go at various destinations such as Moab. The FJ was a cool truck but only 2wd and I really wanted another truck with a bed. Unfortunately you can't flat tow a stock Taco so I had a driveshaft disconnect installed and modified the door lock circuit with a switch inline with the fuse for towing.

Still up are some side decals, TRD hub cap emblems and storage cubby for passenger side of bed. Really liking that Tuffy version but dang that's pricey!

Update: Forgot to mention front seat jackers...love 'em!

From my research I went with 285/70r17 because I wanted the least amount of chance for rubbing. Another reason is I wanted the load C variant of the Wildpeaks, which does not come in 285/75r17.

Mine rattles in the same spot. The plastic covering the lower airbag is the culprit I’m sure. I’ve had that sumbitch apart several times and the rattle always returns at some point.

$20 from aliexpress? I'd have serious concerns that that thing would burn up my truck. :bananadead::bananadead:

More likely that my wiring would cause a fire. But so far so good. I have been keep an eye on currents and temps on every circuit. Everything appears to be running smoothly.

    Oh look, another mod....

If the owner wanted to get rid of all that chrome, he didn't have to go to such extremes....

Maybe pure carbon is a better way to black out the truck than paint or plastidip.

Nada, all tight. I thought it was the cabin filter door. It moved when I tapped it. Took it off and re-installed it. Pushed the warranty binder thing against it and the noise is still there. I feel like its in the dash and way out of my expertise to mess with it.
