Colorado is nice this time of year. I'm sure you can find a mile's worth of beer here.

I hear you on sticking with the plans you already made, though. Tough call. Can you bring the beer mile friend along?

Your probably right. It does seem like a lot of bidders over pay on that site.

 

It's bring a trailer for people without bring a trailer grade cash. Sub 30k stuff does excellent on there

Lately there's been some cars that are selling above other comps that have surprised me. I don't get it, especially with the market slowing as it has. Hopefully I'll win one some day and get a more interesting DD.

Yeah they have had better luck with the expensive ones lately but still pretty lousy results for exotics on there.

 

Colorado... Beer mile friend will understand. Gtfo of dodge. Change of scenery. Good for the soul. Do it.

 

So far, from what I've seen, meh

 

It's a rough split I bet, cause the guys with real money don't want to have to do any improvements or work on the vehicles they buy so something like Cars and Bids that will host a lower grade vehicle along with some really nice vehicles just plain isn't worth their time. And I think there's another goofier psychological part at play in favor of Cars and Bids as well, which tends to sell lower to mid grade stuff at the premium price for that kind of vehicle. I think people at that price point want to pay a little more to feel like they really picked up something special or in top condition.

The cost of diapers (and surprise expenses) is definitely not something to laugh about I'm sure.

But, you being a dad, know it's more than worth it cause you're doing it for your own kid!

We've accepted it'll be expensive, and we'll lose tons of sleep, and be grumpy AF taking turns with baby chores and all

But we're excited to go through all of it and more.

Mmmm loss of structure. delightful. We had a custom Chrysler 300 convertible that would change pinion angle over bumps and the driveshaft would contact the body haha

 

Oh yeah it's definitely worth it. I don't think that statement even really encompasses what I mean by it but you get the idea. There's an inherent feeling of content and satisfaction in knowing you're taking care of your child. It's a little dose of feel good brain chemicals. Probably an act of evolution instilled in us from the get-go to ensure the survival of our species haha

 

Yeah we’d be there 4 days right before it gets any cooler.

The beer mile friend is sort of hosting it for a larger group at their house. Me not attending doesn’t cancel anything for them. I’m just definitely bailing if I decide to leave town.

 

Certainly can happen. But the large mix of cars that cross there and sometimes a good deal pops along is what keeps me looking. To your point though I have a number in mind of my limit and so far I've been left scratching my head for how much higher the "market" was for that car. We did make it a rule that we are not allowed to drink and bid on cars. thankfully we were out bid in that occasion.
