Installed redline tuning hood struts

 

Mine had a rattle in that same area and I was convinced it was in the dash since the blower motor had been replaced by the dealership before I bought it. After listening to this for a year I had my son drive while I removed warranty binder thing. No dice! Removed filter access panel and SILENCE!!! Put felt around edge of cover and so far so good. Hope this helps.

Love mine. First mod I did. Two years in and still lifting like new.

 

Mine does this as well from the same place. I open & close the glove box door (repeat as necessary) and it goes away for a day or 2. If you can pinpoint what it is, let me know.

Do you have sliders? I recently installed mine and they had about a coins width from the pinch weld up front. Kept rattling so I banged some bend in the pinch weld to give it more gap.

I did quite a bit of things on my truck after coming back in the U.S few weeks ago. I'll post them later. I don't know why I keep going to this site. Maybe I do. I had a choice between my 3rd Gen and a classic truck like this one. I wish I could justify to get one. Really cool people to work with, too. I bought a lot of after market parts for my 240sx from them.

Got the ActionTrax mounted up! Used the Billiebars recovery board mounts.

 

Replaced the Lasfit LED's in my lowbeams with Philips H9's. The Lasfit LED's look great, and have worked well over the last year, but I'm sure (based on all the reading I've done here) that the H9's will feel much better on my eyes at night, and perform better through inclement weather this winter.

Had the redline elite struts on my 3rd gen nearly 5 years. Wipe the rods down with wd40 every oil change. They pick up a lot of dirt and debris. Never had any trouble with mine. Using the spiker brand on my 2nd gen. Work the same. A must have mod.
