Oh and get the windshield insurance. These new trucks have super delicate glass.

I've really calmed down in the last five years or so, and I let the neighbor kids play in my truck while I was decorating it for Halloween a couple weeks ago.

In March 2017, before the incident where the musician's wife took my side off, I was working St. Patrick's Day; I always parked in the alley in front of Puck when I was unloading stuff. Even though it was a NO PARKING zone, parking enforcement and most of the local cops knew which vehicles belonged to Puck employees and thus which vehicles to leave alone even if they were technically illegally parked. We had gotten a lot of snow that season, and as a result my truck was parked further away from the curb than usual. This made the alley temporarily impassible for larger vehicles like, say, a Ford Crown Victoria...

See where I'm going with this. Anybody remember Joel the town drunk/troublemaker? I had an incident with him at Helen's house while I was housesitting after Jim died. Joel had been banned from Puck, and showed up drunk just to antagonize us. He faked a slip and fall on the snow in an attempt to sue us, which failed miserably, and then he refused to leave so we had to call the cops to forcibly move him. The police showed up, arrested him for public intoxication, and literally had to drag him to the squad car.

For the rest of the night, the police patrolled down that alley just to check up on things; I happened to park my Tacoma in the alley shortly before a cop in a Crown Vic headed down the alley. The hazards were on, the tailgate was down, and there was ice in the bed. Instead of using common sense, the cop decided to drive down the alley anyway. He couldn't fit, decided that his stupid decision was my fault, and got out of his car to write me a $50 ticket for being illegally parked.

Thankfully, two of the club's bouncers were working the door at that very moment. They knew how protective I was of my truck, told the cop that the truck belonged to a Puck employee who doing important work for the bar, and convinced him to back up and go the other way without writing me a ticket; I am very glad they did that, because I was in a bad mood for unrelated reasons that night, and I would have gone off on that cop for writing me a ticket. I would have ended up either arrested or with a citation for disturbing the peace; I didn't even witness the conversation between the bouncers and the cop. That was in March 2017 and the club closed indefinitely in January 2019. There were numerous times over those nearly two years where I was inadvertently blocking a road while unloading ice or other supplies from the truck, and I saw cops turn around and go the other way when they saw me.

I'm gonna replace the head gasket in the 2010 and save up for a newer truck. The pickings are pretty slim right now...

They were going to pay for it, but it was actually my dad's idea to just buy me a new mirror. While it was not my fault, I did make a jackass of myself, and my dad was totally right because making someone who made money for the club pay to fix my truck would have created an awkward situation.

I've calmed and mellowed out A LOT in the last few years, but the moral of all these stories remains the same...

DON'T FUCK WITH MY TACOMA IF YOU KNOW WHAT'S GOOD FOR YOU

    Neither have I.
But not because I find anything wrong with it.

It’s because I was “presumed” to be a “pothead” by my looks and some (not all) of the people I associated with. Even worse, was the fact that the ones to claim it were family. I vowed to always be able to pass a drug test anytime they felt like paying for one. None, not one, ever did.

I mean, after passing 4 drug test at one of my jobs, they just quit send me.
The boss man said, No more paying me for “free time off”.
I guess those random drug test were so random any more.
But in all seriousness, it wasn’t personal. They usually sent multiple people at the same time.

I smoked weed with a friend, one time, more than seven years ago. It didn't really do much for me; I have never done any other drugs, and with all the fentanyl and shit, it is highly unlikely that I will ever even smoke weed again. I do like beer though...

I've got no problem with people who smoke weed, and I didn't dislike it, but I've never been much of a smoking kind of guy; I've smoked cigars before, but I've never smoked a cigarette.

    I like energy drinks.
    Monster is my preferred brand.

But I buy the cheap local grocery store brand, because I’m “Cheap”. :D

Coffee? Only with lots of creamer and sweetener.

You reminded me of an episode of Seinfeld, George parked his Fathers car in a handicap spot. A handicapped person got injured and a small riot broke out destroying the car.

    I have a similar story:

High School- Dad :"If I ever catch you smoking weed, I will beat you within an inch of your life."
My dad was Old Testament and he did exactly what he said with no warning. Two times he proved that was..
    1) I was playing with matches and Dad said "If I catch you playing with matches again I will burn your fingers"...He wasn't joking. I never played with lighters or matches again until HS.
    2) Dad.."Quit eating the green peppers out of the garden. If you must have some vegetables, we can go to the grocery store and get some." Well I didn't listen and he caught me. He cut a garden hose and beat my ass. Then he made me repair the garden hose...LOL.

Military: Probably not a good idea and lose a top security clearance.

Post Military: Doing linework or operating a power plant I fell under DOT regulations for randoms.

Now in 22 months, one might not be able to tell me apart from Willie Nelson except for the singing....

I used to dip tobacco for 3 years.
Then I got a weird sore in my mouth that burned for about 2 weeks.
I don’t know what caused it, either the tobacco or lake water, or a combination of both.
But after 2 weeks of not dipping, I just never picked it back up.

    @ColoradoTJ

A friend of mine from high school admitted that she gave into peer pressure and smoked meth with her friends; I tore her a new one for it.

I've smoked weed, one time. My friend's ex-boyfriend told me that because he snorted so much cocaine in college that got a deviated septum and literally blew out his sinuses. That story scared me out of ever trying coke; I've never done coke and never will.

I will admit that I've let friends of mine who admitted to snorting coke in the past drive my truck, but they weren't high when they actually drove my truck.
