Not really, I have a cat shield and some mud flaps on order, but other than those, the truck will remain bone stock. Why? The extent of my off roading will most likely only get as severe as driving across the lawn with a load of mulch. I bought the truck with more of a mind for towing a small boat and/or a small travel trailer.

TY I will look into this. Nedd to look at a video first, according to the article.

Nice purchase. I did not know you could still get a 6 speed manual in the Tacoma.

Did you do the work yourself?

Good morning, everyone. A chilly 36 degrees here this morning. Today is another guitar lesson, second shot in the knee then off to Costco to have them look at my hearing aids. The right one does not have the volume that the left one has. I went to an Audiologist yesterday for a hearing test. My ears are doing well. She hooked my Costco hearing aids up to a test meter, very rudimentary, and determined the output of the right hearing aid was low. The good news is, from the outside looking in my ears are doing well. I am waiting for a call back from the ENT doctor to schedule another appointment. Also going to order some cooking pellets from Bass Pro Shops. Going to use curbside pickup.

Thanks! For the 2022 model year, and apparently for the 2023 model year as well, the availability of a 6MT is limited to the TRD Sport, TRD Off Road, and TRD Pro; the general consensus is after the last 2023 is built, the manual transmission option for the Tacoma goes kaput.

A little something every chance we get.
:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! Whoa - a 41* overnight. I had reprogrammed the thermostat app so wife would be warmer on wake up time, and then found the tech never switched it back to "automatic" - was still on "cool". :smack: Going to see further about what's up with truck and it's cooling system. Or mow. Or something.

Completely off topic compared to recent "threadlettes", I'm from a military family, one grandfather Army Air Corps, father Navy, me USMC, son Navy, and love to study the 1930s and 1940s eras encompassing WWII, the build up, the war itself, and the aftermath. I recently came across very yellowed copy of the 1956 novel titled "Away All Boats" in a used book store; damn, what a great read! I'm about two-thirds of the way through it and am itchin' to get back to the book every night. :)

Looking at your avatar reminds me of a woman much older than I who I worked with many years ago who grew up on the Connecticut shoreline not far from Chance Vought. When she was a child a F4U Corsair crash landed on the beach behind their home on a test flight. I was fortunate to have the opportunity for a B-17 flight in 2010. A relative of mine was a P-51 pilot over Korea and went down to ground fire. Raymond remains MIA to this day.

Awesome on the B-17; definitely on my Bucket List! I managed to snag a ride on an AT-6 up at the Knox County Regional Airport in Maine (which is the location for the Owls Head Transportation Museum) back in 1998; quite the thrill compared to the old 1967 172H I typically loitered about in. :)

51 degrees this morning, that’s more than 20 degrees lower than yesterday and effectively brings an end to my “it’s too hot to do yard work” excuse. Just need temps to drop another 10 degrees lower and I can play the “it’s too cold out” card.

Could it be? After tracing the (new) constant drips of the back of the skid, to the bottom of the pan, to the front, I took off the shroud and fan. Ran it so I could watch the front. Dripping off the hose from top of the intake to the Stat housing.

    20221019_142816.jpg

Put a rag on the hose, and the leak was either its clamp (never disturbed), or somewhere behind the thermostat housing, so off it comes (and more coolant).

I'm looking at this clamp, and the oring above it.

    20221019_153204.jpg

O-ring didn't look right. Ya think?

    20221019_151504.jpg

Yeah, old one still in the bench box to be tossed. It will live on.
