Sorry If i was having trouble following your Pics and Trail info, but is the below section the Jeep Trail that was sketch getting back out (locker and A-trac)?

Wife and I had planned a trip hoping to get down there in 2022 (based on @turbodb awesome posts). Unfortunately, life happens and we couldn't make it. Thinking we might try again for the Owyhee in 2023 and really curious if we could make it down to the hot springs, or at least how close, we could get coming from the West (Skull Creed Rd).

Obviously let me know if this is part of that private property you were talking about as well.

 

Yeah that's the spot. It appears to be public land, but closed to the public if that makes any sense. @turbodb explained it was owned by FERC, so maybe some legacy of uranium mining or something.

 

And by the way it's pretty easy to get there from 3 forks, you just have to wade across the river to get to the hot springs.

 

This is by far the easier (and better) way to get there. Come in from the east (along 95 just west of Jordan Valley) rather than the west. You'll get some nice overlooks of the Owyhee River along that route as well.

Just preferred the idea of more privacy for camping over on the west side. I've heard it gets far less traffic, and you don't have to worry about the varying river level. We would prolly spend 2 nights there, then head for Alvord. I mean, if y'all think my truck won't make it safely I'll take that advice seriously, but usually don't have any issue taking it slow and easy. Appreciate you guys!
