i thought long and hard about getting rid of my smart phone and OLED TV because they're just distractions, but my wife wouldnt let me get rid of the TV. The smart phone she wanted me to keep for pictures so that she can use mine as extra storage (she already filled her 32gb with thousands of pics)

 

Do phones not come with swappable flash storage anymore? I long ago stopped paying attention.

Why not just slam a 512GB SD card in there?

 

I watched it a bit, in for another 1000 shares at $4.20, limit sell set for $4.70 (for now), will watch if my alerts go off and may bump up a bit.

 

nope. apple never had that option and i believe samsung ditched that when they ditched the removable backs

Sounds about right. Phones AAS.

As a consumer I am minorly perturbed, but as a shareholder I am well pleased.

I havent fact checked it, but this article notes that health insurance is up THIRTY PERCENT year on year nationwide.

That sounds like a bomb just waiting to go off.

 

I cant get over this chain events that led us to where we are now.

People tend to plan lives.

Politicians and bureaucrats plan election cycles and appointment terms.

Looking at the latter through the lens of the former reveals how stupid short term thinking is in the pursuit of long term stability and security.

For this reason, I suggest every election term we vote not just on replacement, but execution and replacement.

If you've been grifting the system on the theory it's someone else's problem 4-8 years from now....here comes accountability.
