I did my first change after break-in at 800km, and the second change last month at 38000. There were actually metal slivers on the magnet. Not sure if that's abnormal wear or greater capture by the stronger Trail Gear drain plug magnet.

 

I gotta do mine when I get back from Ardbeg. Truck sits at 80k right now. Last did it at 40k.

Looks like $21 for FedEx Ground and import charges, so $30 real dollars total or 41 maple syrup points.

It's cheaper to buy the OE socket-head plug from the dealer, but the OE magnet is noticably weaker.

I am getting them in Burlington, but I’m only 45 minutes away from them. Problem is, I ordered Wednesday and they haven’t informed me that they’re ready for pickup yet….

 

I like trouble. Also I’m pretty inept at doing things myself. I’m likely to end up with my frame in 3 pieces doing it myself.

 

All good. Just an option for ya if it’s getting down to the wire. I’m heading up Saturday (29th) so can always make a pit stop.

I did mine alone and didn't even have a jack. You'll be fine. @Norilsk will watch while eating your food. And then you have to give him money "for the club" and he shows up with new pants and no one is suspicious.

 

This is accurate except for the new pants thing. I manage the funds. If you seen my clothes….it’s all going to the club. @Norilsk juet makes poor financial decisions. Adulting.
