Now if you just make his mouth move to the words you're speaking.... that would be hilarious. Also, he looks better.:hattip:

Thanks. When I work from home, that's where he's at. Not on the bed beside me, or curled up on his cat tree. On. My. Lap.

We live a bit in the country and quite a few coyotes pass by at night. Which is why we bring the cats in at night. But people around here don’t like cats outside period. Fuck that. These cats love, love to be outside. This is pure bliss right here.

I'm in full agreement with you, however, cats are known to set their own schedules, which tend to be changeable. How is it even possible to "bring them in at night", given that they are cunning enough to defy a human's edicts if it doesn't coincide with their own?

Hard to say. My dad lived in the country and all his indoor/outdoor cats came in every night. Don’t know how he got them to do so but he did. One way to get them in is to feed them every early evening inside the house at the same time. Their internal clock will tell them when it’s food time and they’ll appear.

Oh yeah. We’ve been doing this for years now. With a little coaxing the cats have come in every night. They sleep all day long and are pissed that it gets dark so early. And every time are surprised when we bring them in. Like wait what the fuck. But one has been doing this routine for 6 years. The other for almost a year. Every so often it’s a hassle and takes an hour and multiple calls to get them in.

Now there are none! Sadly I must report that I lost Lucy (the kitt on the right) this past Sunday. She had a voracious appetite, always eating - she would often nudge Grover out of the way and steal her food. She walked away from my porch in the late afternoon after not eating much but drinking a lot of water and I haven't seen her since. She used to come by very early in the AM waiting to get fed, even climbing on my cat-proof screen to get my attention. She was kind of out of it the last week or so; she looked and acted different.

She used to get nuzzled by Mr. Socks her younger boyfriend and she liked it - Lucy was fixed so no problems there. The kitt on the left was Grover, her best buddy if not sister. Grover was killed this past Spring. I was able to cremate her and she is inside now. I don't know Lucy's whereabouts so I can't have her cremated and bring her inside to be with Grover. I suspect Lucy was slowly poisoned and succumbed because of it. When a cat is sick they will go hide and die. I hope that isn't the case here! :(

So sad to here about your kitty disappearing. I feed a bunch of ferrals at my house, I have the regular gang all the time. But from time to time one disappears and you don't see it anymore, always makes me a little sad. Ferrals don't live long outdoors, seems like 4 to 5 years is the norm. But my indoor kitties are fat and sassy and happy. They don't even try to get out, I think they know they have a good thing, lol. They are so skiddish they would be terrified if they got out.
But it always saddens me when one of the outside cats dissapers or when I find one dead.
