Put money down early August for an end of September delivery. Delayed to 10/8 then 10/27. Yesterday I checked and the salesman gave me the real VIN and it's expected to be on the lot in 14 days, excited! Should I bother with the app now? - guessing it's probably on rails and I wouldn't get any updates anyway -right?

edit - reading reviews of the app it sounds like it isn't all that great -thoughts?

 

I downloaded the app a month before my truck was delivered; it does give some small amount of data to let you know things are at least moving in the right direction.

Just picked up my truck at the dealer at around 1730hrs. Very very happy with this purchase and very happy with my retirement gift to myself. Went to dinner with the wife and my 2 grown boys and all 3 were impressed with my purchase, color and technology. My purchase also didn't come with not a lot of hassle/haggle over price and trade in value of my Silverado. Sold my Silverado to my younger sister for a good price and she got a well maintained and solid truck. Good luck to everyone and enjoy your day.

Hey again @Rod03 - our truck was supposed to be delivered 10/11 and then 10/14. Our VIN is 3TMCZ5AN1NM502367. Would you mind checking one last time?

Is this common? I am beginning to think this is a made up truck

 

@Rod03 Can check 3TMCZ5AN8NM498267 one more time? I’ve seen a few updates on the app but still radio silence from the dealership. I’m starting to think there’s something seriously wrong with this truck.

 

Did you activate the services in the app? My Tacoma had the recall and I was able to see when the recall was cleared on the app. Once it was cleared it had to be re-inspected and then it was finally cleared for delivery. I did make some noise by calling Toyota Corporate and the truck was then fast tracked to the dealership

 

The recall was fixed early October! Everything is clear on the app. Still says n/a for odometer and no vehicle status, but under health I was able to find that it has been driven 5 miles (however it has been saying that since the recall was fixed). We will stay patient I suppose.

 

I activated the app functions as much as I could. Still shows the recall as active. Good insight on calling Corporate! That may be my next move I’m also starting to think I shouldn’t be paying MSRP for a truck that is basically a year old now. Thanks!

 

That’s what got my truck moving. I was polite but insistent. The Regional Manager called the dealership and the Port it was being held and the next day it was at the dealership. Sometimes you need to rattle some cages

 

I tried staying patient but finally made some calls and got it rolling
