Hard to believe the sp500 is back above 3600. Thought it would at least stay where it was at for a while once it dipped below that. Gotta be some kind of can kicking or margin call avoidance

 

I for one would love to just see 3000 and get it over with, but I know it wont yet. Needs some sort of social or political catalyst to change anything LOL

 

Earnings have been strong. The current market drop revolves around an increasing risk free rate and the expectation of diminished earnings in the near future.

If either doesn't pan out, markets are going to rise on that. Recent earnings had a ton of beats.

 

This quarter also had a ton of revised guidance. Pretty easy to beat when you lower your guidance. What we really should be looking at is year over year growth not necessarily EPS or profit.

 

scalped a nice 8.38% gain on GTii today. Bought in at 4.09 sold at 4.66. Now to start doing research for what to do tomorrow.

 

That explains why everyone lowered guidance to 0. A beat is "better than expected" even with lowered guidance.

YoY growth is important, especially when you get outside of mature market blue chip large caps. So are earnings.

 

BBIG just filed an 8K. They converted 5M shares of the 250M available to them to preferred stock. So know there's 245M common shares and 5M preferred shares. Wonder who's getting those preferred shares? It couldn't be the controlling interest in Zash could it? Merger is coming. The members of both BBIG and Zash have been radio silent the past week. A quiet period pre-merger could very well be the reason.

The closed neck on the BB and Donchian is getting crazy. I first mentioned this about 3 weeks ago. When this thing breaks out it's going to be a big move. Most likely down but a guy can dream. lol
