My only concern would be mixing Digressive fronts with linear or progressive rears. I don't know if that would make it handle awkwardly. Then again, the rear is already a bit bouncy.

Edit: any idea what the expected lifespan is on 6112s?

Seems they all have rebuild intervals in the 30-40k range.. same for non rebuildables.

Might make the truck feel a tad odd esp at speed when hitting whoops and such.

I do need to take my Foxes off and get them to @AccuTune Offroad for a rebuild/revalve.... :anonymous: if I was smart I would have put the icons on puddle jumper while sending the foxes in....

As far as lifespan goes, it really depends on usage. I've seen billy 5100s fail at 30,000 miles on wannabe desert race trucks, and I've also seen them clear 100k on mall crawlers.

Oh there will be some mods all right
I know 6112s have a lifetime warranty, though I believe that only applies to manufacturing defects. As far as life, I've heard depending on how hard they have been abused they can go 100,000 for sure.

I sure hope that's wrong. Otherwise, I'm about 30K overdue for shocks.

I think I fall somewhere in the middle.

From what I read this morning so far, anywhere from 50-100K is typical, so I better get ready to buy something soon.

I'm definitely going to have to do something within the next year. I'll have to start pricing out my options. I was hoping budget wouldn't be the deciding factor on my next set, but it ultimately might be. o_O

I am in Hudson area on the border but could make a weekend drive this winter. I would need the rims, hub covers, and black lug nuts.

Ask nicely for 10% over cost and they might just give you that price

Edit: ask the parts department, NOT your sales person

Old man goes to me last night want to do a month road trip next year up the Dalton... Well might be selling the topper faster than I thought.

Give it the old bounce test. If your truck settles immediately, I wouldn't worry about getting new shocks.

And the Lord have mercy on your soul If you get locking lug nuts. I will hunt you down and cut them off of your truck. :sawzall:
