True story! Felt like someone was slashing my neck with a knife the first few times I rode in the cold...

Just replaced the stock 45 tooth rear sprocket for a 42 tooth.
Hopefully this gets me some more reasonable RPM on the highway. It was 9,000 RPM at 70 MPH with the stock sprocket.

It was cold here in nc. I hate cold weather rides. I have been looking for a good leather jacket, I only have a Joe Rocket mesh. When did prices of cow hide go thru the roof? Dainese is almost a grand with the CE protectors. And when did airbags become a thing?

On separate note I pulled my lower fairings and started wrapping them in carbon fiber. I suck at wrapping but the first side came out ok. Few pics

33 degrees this morning. Dug out the heated gloves and that made a world of difference. Sill soon have to get the cold weather riding pants and jacket out of the closet.

The right gear makes all the difference in the world. Being cold sucks and I'll never deny that. I must also say that's there's something kind of fun about riding when it's cold out. A few years ago I went out on a Thanksgiving morning to go take a picture of a sign for an event I was participating in. The sign was for a town name and it was roughly 2 hours away from where I live. I was fully geared up with my best cold weather gear and my heated liner and gloves and when I left my house it was 27 degrees. As I headed north it started flurrying a little. Nothing was laying on the roads and I never felt unsafe or anything. The only other traffic on the roads was families traveling for the holiday or on the way to dinner somewhere. I got a kick out of the people in cars pointing at me or the little kids waving because seeing someone on a motorcycle was so unexpected on a day like that. Covered over 200 miles before getting home for my own holiday meal and had a blast doing it. I've also gone out riding around to look at Christmas lights a few times. Try it sometime, it's a whole different kind of fun.

Problem solved for my front brake line. Seems to be a common change when stepping up to fatter tires.

I’m a little late to this but have you been on supermotojunkie.com? A whole other rabbit hole to dive into. I used to ride supermoto, for years. It’s a great place to meet other riders, see their set ups, and hear what works/ doesn’t. Not sure if you’re on the west coast, but SoCal supermoto school is a lot of fun and you learn quite a bit about riding technique. I’m sure you’ll find it’s completely different than riding a sport bike and more like riding a dirt bike on the road body position wise.
Anyways, good luck, and have fun!

    Yep.
Did you buy direct from Warp9? They include a new line clamp that helps.

Line has to be re-routed outside of the fork. Trim the guards on the inboard side or the tire will rub. You could buy a set of 250X guards... and front fender if you don't feel like trimming it.

Edit: should have kept reading, you found the clamp

Edit x2: highly recommend picking up a 250X kick stand or cutting 2" of your stock one.

Also in the summer. I got a Mission brand cooling buff thing for my birthday and its amazeballs. Keeps you nice and cool until it dries out. Unfortunately here in arid and hot Utah, that's like 7 minutes. Thankfully my commute home is only 11.
