My engine light came on around 197k miles. I have two codes, P0456 and P0300. I took it auto zone to have OBD scanned, it says to replace the “Evaporative Emissions (EVAP) Vacuum Switching Valve (VSV)”
Does anyone know were this is on the truck? Or maybe a link to a video, I can’t find anything on YouTube or online

The chances of that being your problem are slim.
That code is for a small evap leak.

It could be anything from an evap line, fuel cap, vent valve, or the purge valve.
You usually need a smoke machine to find these issues. Or don’t worry about it and focus on the p0300.
    Which is a random misfire.

Personally, unless the truck is running rough, I’d ignore it.
Unless you have to pass emissions in your state.

Evap codes are a nightmare to find sometimes.

Certainly focus on the misfire code before the evap code.

Random stuff. Oh! and converted to non ADD 4x4.
Don’t change or buy shit. inspect first And test components prior to making purchases. As mentioned before a small crack can crate a vacuum leak and therefore the code. Cheers!

Check and make sure your gas cap is on tight and sealing. If you worked on the truck, back-track any steps you did and make sure hoses, connectors and everything else was put back together properly.

Try another gas cap, but consider the misfire first

It was the gas cap! The random/multiple cylinder misfire code was something the obd pinged once but wasn’t constant. Thank you all for the help!
