Make sure you have the right sized tip for the material and amperage you are using. If you're using a different cutter, id lookup the best cut height.

Has anyone yanked the abs system but left the ECU connected to keep things like the e-brake light happy?

Other question is regarding brake proportioning. If the downstream abs sensors are gone but you keep the abs unit plumbed, will it maintain proportioning?

Otherwise I’ll just keep ignoring the traction/abs lights and add a wilwood proportioning valve at some point lol.

All dash lights can be solved with a pair of pliers at the leds on the dash circuit board

Yeah that will happen with the abs/traction lights regardless, but if I can retain the ebrake light easily, that’d be cool. If not, owell. Abs module is long gone on this truck I now have.

I only got 16" of clean travel with my last setup with frame notch and rubbed my 3k$ shocks to shreds because I don't want the ass end 6" wider per side. if you have a better method please let me know. This setup fixes all my problems, is more adjustable/tunable, and has more down travel.

I left all electronics in place and plumbed the brake lines independently to bypass the module in the engine bay. I also added a wilwood proportioning valve.

Does your ebrake light still function?

Yep. Nothing has changed from the trucks perspective since all the electronics are still connected.

ok sweet. I’m going to source an eBay used unit just to plug in, so I don’t go rolling down the street again like an idiot not realizing the ebrake is still engaged.

Asking a bit of an odd question this morning:

Has anyone ever converted a triple bypass piggyback res to a remote? Can it be done without spending a bunch? Or would I be better off working a trade or selling them out right.
I had an idea to use this bypass for my rear suspension, but I don't think there is enough room for the axle to cycle full travel without some interference on the piggyback. And the tubes may not be clocked in the right position to work properly anyway.
My inexperience with suspensions got the best of me when I bought these triples......:anonymous:

    Check My Sig.
That depends on if they manufacture used a JIC fitting on the resi tube. If they did, then yes you can do the conversion for relatively cheap.

    what shocks?

King uses a different fitting between remote resi and piggyback. Though there are adapters out there to make it work.

@desertjunkie760 and @Airdog thanks for the quick replies.
That fitting is larger than I thought it would be.
I've got a good bit of research to do.
Taking a quick measurement, the hose might have to be over 20" to work.

I know it’s not technically LT but this thread is pretty active with some knowledgeable people. Solo hinted their LCA which moves the LBJ 1” as well as converting it to a uniball. I’m curious to hear everyone’s opinion on these. I am about 99% sure I won’t be going to LT in the front.

For how expensive stock length lca’s are, I personally don’t find them beneficial enough. Between aftermarket uppers, lowers and coilovers, you’re basically to LT from a money standpoint.

While i agree, some ppl dont want to go to the trouble or even need LT. Also makes it easy if in a bind you need to go to a parts store for a quick fix unlike LT.
