FF’d whole truck yesterday covered brakes up but not 100% there was a small space that I left and it was windy. Took her for a spin after and noticed when starting to press on brake pedal a “tink” sound before the brakes are fully compressed. Ideas?

May be just a coincidence, I use a compressor and undercoating gun, I don’t cover anything but I do avoid muffler and anything that gets hot. I don’t notice anything other than the smell and no squeaky nothing.

Ya it was weird because after the FF a annoying squeak went away then I gained the brake “ting” sound lol. One thing I learned is that shit will carry in the air I had ff up near the windows on the opposite side of the truck. There any harm in spraying brakes down with brake cleaner while the tires are still on?

Next time you do it, try woolwax. No overspray, less smell, thicker. FF coming out of a compressor and undercoating gun would leave a coating on my drive and everywhere else. With woolwax, only where you spray it.

Does it only tink once and when you first apply the brakes?

Yes, it’s not everytime but it’s just as I’m applying the brake not even fully compressed.
