Haha. Was having a little fun with it. Have had the damn thing of over a year and STILL have not done anything with it. Thinking instead of a permanent mount (jeep/taco), Thinking a water proof box to mount it in to make it portable between vehicles.

You should invest in some Armor Lite flooring. That was one of the best things I did.

    Rite rite. I’m debating….

I remember that post. Pending how park this thing and rain, it might leak or not gotta love it. From what I found out a couple years ago.. the rear fenders have extra holes in the body behind them. One of the possible water intrusion spots, but it hasn’t happened enough for me to pull ‘em and tape up (jeeps tech fix).

edit: back together. I forget how fast the factory carpet can dry out in the sun.

It took 2 weeks of fans, damp rid, and open doors to dry my passenger footwell carpet out.

    Damn!

I’ve had a couple brain farts and left windows down in a good rain. Water pooled on on the floor under the wet carpet. Pulled it, yanked the drain plugs to drain. Wipe down the floor pan, then squeeze the carpet out and let dry. This newer stuff dries fairly quick. Hell, hung in the bathroom shower one time and was dry in an hour.

I guess the fast drying carpet is one nice thing about it

The Tacomas have a plastic backed carpet with a shredded cloth carpet padding on the back side and a plastic liner under that. So once the carpet padding gets wet, the waters trapped between two plastic membranes.

At that point I would either get new carpet or discover the joys of bed liner.

That's a horrible idea. What time?
On the home stretch. Another 4.5 hours of 81 and we're home. And I get to see my puppy dog. Who hasn't shown any signs of missing us. Happy and a little sad at that.

What's the start time next week? Gwen is working, so I'll have Tessa. Since I don't have a heater (yet?) I'll not be camping if that was an option.

I looked at the weather and the nighttime temps aren't going to be too hateful.

So I cut a bunch of braces and brackets from the front end and relocated my Inter cooler pump but I still wish I could get the winch further into the engine bay. I’m really thinking about moving all the heat exchangers to the back. 6142B9A1-BFCF-4B74-8539-D7A4811AC319.jpg
