A few day trip through northern CO, across to Utah, then up through the Tetons to Yellowstone, finally across to the Big Horn Mountains, before heading south back home. Gotta say, I need to spend more time in Wyoming (and apparently Idaho!).
    First night in Utah
Then just south of Jackson (not great views, but by a river)
Then off looking for camp, and finally finding a spot (not that easy during hunting season!)

    Ominous indeed…it’s called Devil’s Gate.

Didn’t sleep a wink all night but it was due to a rancher using the area to wean their calfs. I’ve never heard such loud, evil sounding mooing in my life. It went n from 10pm until 8am. Brutal.

We hit Bald Mountain in the the Sierra Nevada's for the night and then headed out Panoche Hills to shoot and then the truck ended up going home on a tow truck , when I said I was going to drive it with this lift until the shocks exploded I didn't think it would actually explode

Custom, only one ever designed and built interiors, heavily welded frame, all sharp metal turned bed rack and a roof top I made for $75. Power pedal, injen intake system, cat delete, summit racing brake proportioning valve controlled on the fly, slightly adjusted or perhaps unrecognizable ECM, built in under bed storage, high clearance rear built with 1/4" on a 6011 1/8" rod at 120 amps, 360 degrees of led light, a PA and CB, on board air, on board propane (to cook food), on board fridge made from an old red bull fridge found on some guys man cave built into the storage cubby under the back seat, imported tranny and clutch from a good friend over in Europe to replace this aisin junk we get, combined 32 gallons fuel capacity, 18 5 gallons of water storage, built in gun locker under RTT, and all it cost was to hear the wife ramble on about upset neighbors at 2 in the morning every night since I bought that damn truck..
Off roading the badlands of northeast Montana. ...all the way to cow camp where we're shipping and preg testing cows and then off to elk camp with hunters (get paid to take ppl out while overlanding and getting to make new trails that no other human has ever had a set of tires)

Camped 3 nights solo in Joshua Tree Jumbo Rocks Campground. Some minor details:
    • Bought a Zoleo Sat communicator to keep in touch with family and let them track me on hikes/offroading. Made me feel a bit safer being solo that I could reach out when in trouble.
    • No showers! Last month I made a shower for $40 with a hand pressure pump from home depot and some various fittings. Worked great, had a nice warm shower at the end of each day!
    • I'm still pretty new to offroading. Did Geology Tour Road which had just reopened. The flash flood damage looked pretty bad.
    • Planned to do Pinkham Canyon in south part of park but got cold feet at the last minute as I couldn't find any info on trail conditions and potential damage from same flash floods. Going solo didn't feel like a good risk reward. All ranger could tell me is a few people solo have gotten stuck recently and had to hike out to get help. So they said go at your own risk (obviously).
    A few pics!
