This is so sick. Makes me want to ditch my rear 3-link plans for SUA. I know you’ve probably gone over this but this doesn’t require hydro bumps or straps?

I never put hydros on a leaf sprung truck and straps are optional... the are more necessary if you have a heavy rear axle and huge tires which will over flex the springs

Gotcha so my 60 rear would require some. Thanks for the info.

Couldn't you negate some of that with the HD pack?

Finally installing the slide rack. Some of the positions were kind of tricky getting too but made it easier with the diff out. After test fitting everything my driver side seal keeps coming out when I turn the wheel. Am I just dumb and missing something that keeps it set in there?

Does it take some force to press it in? Do you have a factory rack? I’ve had issues with aftermarket racks having a slightly large seal ID.

I bought it from Toyota so it should be unless they lied to me. It looks like there are fairly large gaps around it so it definitely doesn't require force to get it in.

New or reman? Part number? Some of the older OE housings have a funky ID that’s larger than everything else and require a machined shim. (I’ve only had to do this on two trucks). If the seal is way too loose and just falls out then that’s what you have. If the seal almost fits but is just a tad too loose then you have an aftermarket rack. So are we talking hot dog down a hallway or?? :)

This was my order. According to what I ordered it shouldn't be a reman. I can take a pic when I get home.

I’m gonna go with reman, hard to believe you can get a new OE rack for that price.

I am not too worried about the address. I specifically called and asked and they said it wasn't a reman. It did show an MSRP over 1000 and was on sale. I ordered 2 months ago. I thought the reman ones had a different part number?

In my experience, Toyota labels their remans. My starter was a reman and that was the only option, no “factory new”. I bought an oem rack pre Covid for $580 to my door. They’re really not too expensive, or at least they didn’t used to be. They’re on back order now which jacked up the price.

I had the hot dog in a hallway (Below pic) on my original 2012 rack and the OEM rack i bought in Feb 2021.

I used Loctite 609 on install...but the fit required a hammer to tap it in the loctite was a little added help to hold it in long term. Its been perfect since Feb of 2021

A new OE rack which also comes with inner tie rods is almost $1k now. The remans are in the $500 range and do not include inner tie rods. I’ve purchased at least 15 of each and you are correct pre covid the price was around $700 new, $350 re man. I also live in the most expensive area in the country where gas is $7/gallon, a burrito is $20 and a basic 1500sq/ft home is $2million so who the fuk knows :)

I, too, paid for a $20 burrito today but at least it was delivered to my door. From 1/2 mile away. #millennials

Reman will have -84 suffix and possibly a core charge.
