That's a horrible idea. What time?
Badlands was a nice surprise when we decided to detour there as well. Nice scenery and a nice break from the freeway.

That's what we did from Detroit to Yellowstone / Grand Tetons, without a camper. Wife's idea of roughing anymore is a hotel without room service. She did camp with me, but said she's met her quota.

Nice pic. Horrible news. Hope he / she is buying you a new one. I hate the selfishness of drunk drivers.

The penalty for drunk driving should be beheading... period... end of story.

I think living with the grief of killing a family is punishment enough. That shit lasts and you suffer internally for years. A beheading would be doing them a favor.

Did insurance pay for value of truck or did they take the modifications and accessories into account?

After nearly loosing my dad to a drunk, I'd have to say the punishments in general are not severe enough. Kill someone with a gun, knife, bomb, or your hands, you do 20 to life. Kill someone with a car while drunk and you might see five to ten. Willingly and knowingly driving drunk shows intent which translates to premeditation. That adds to murder charge, it should add to vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.

Off the soap box, for now.

In my line of work I’ve seen the aftermath too many times and it’s not often I feel grief on the job, but when it comes to this topic, it sticks with me. I agree with you 100% if you kill someone while drunk driving it should be the same penalty as any other murder.

It's no different than walking down a street with a shotgun and firing it off at random towards people. For every person you pass while drunk-driving
in my book that is nothing short of attempted murder.... perhaps attempted manslaughter. There is NO EXCUSE for it, same with driving while high
on drugs - ZERO EXCUSE ...

This is one time of year I miss about Michigan. So many different types of trees. So many different colors.
