Well, thats the trick, the upstairs light, will be gping on and off, up top. Not many places to mount the switch becauae of the removable panels, dont want to bang those off the switch.

I had a bunch of extra wiring with my lights. I ran the wiring and mounted the switch then just jammed the excess wire back into the cable run.

When I was still considering putting the shorter Hard korr light up top in the camper, I was going to mount the switch for it down below in a spot I'd be able to easily reach with one of the panels removed. Ultimately not wanting to deal with wiring up there was the reason I went with the USB light instead.

I leave my upstairs lights unplugged until I need them. It plugs into its own 12v socket separate from the lower light. I’ll probably move the upper light switch to the ceiling instead of the tent side.

this is where I put my lower light switch. I felt like it was the easiest place to access/see all the buttons when using the driver side and rear door

What are you folks using to power these? Main, aux from dual set up or stand alone aux battery? I know the LED wouldn't pull too much power but thinking separate from main is better since likely using for general lighting.

right now I use a portable battery, bluetti eb70. Eventually I’d like to get a 200ah lifepo4 battery with Redarc bcdc, solar panels, etc.

I keep my bluetti in that top crate and it sends power to a fuse block I hid behind the molle panel.

Ditto! The Ecoflow Delta mini is perfect for my setup. I have my lights and Iceco on it, and charge everything I need from the Ecoflow. Ecoflow is charged from a 175 watt Renogy solar panel, that panel fits perfect on top of the X1 using the Renogy Z brackets mounted to the top t-slots. Super easy set-up and clean.

4 of these hard korr lights is over kill for the SP in my opinion. 2 downstairs seems like more than enough for me. And my mounting location allows light to be cast outside as well as inside. I bought my set up from wanderlust overland.

Thanks. Have a PLB 40 so will run off that with solar recharge as I fine tune things.

100Ah lithium that charges off of alternator and solar (175 watts). Based on my needs 100 was enough given I rarely stay in one spot for more than a few days. Powers a Dometic, WeBoost, hardkorr lights, USB charging, and a couple of external camp lights. Have never had it dip below ~70% yet even. Photos are before most of the wiring connected to the fuseblock.

What are those lights for mounted to the window?

Also, from your other post what is the thermometer you've got mounted in the corner? I've been using a cheap one of Amazon but doesn't seem very accurate.

those are my 3rd brake lights. I moved it from the exterior after using the hole for my rear camera wires.

the thermometer is made by bluesea, same maker as the usb and 12v socket SP gave us. I got tired of replacing batteries on my old one.

#429 is "in the wild" as of last Thursday!!

I'll do a full build / walk around soon, but I wanted to let folks know that they have officially rolled out the V3 clamps.

What is the black material you are using as a faceplate on the 8020?

1/4" King StarBoard HDPE sheets. I was able to get them locally from TAP Plastics and they will cut in store to within I think 1/16" spec, but then I did the rest of cutouts, routing the edges rounder, etc. Found it very easy to work with. Attaching it to the 80/20 was kind of a pain in the ass though. I just used countersunk screw holes with slide in t-nut backers but it was tough to align if my measurements were off by a tiny bit.

Also fair warning, I learned this stuff warps when I'm camping 80°F+ though it unwarps once it cools down.

I'm holding off on posting a full "walk-around" until everything is complete with my rig, but I couldn't resist a quick progress update. I've got experience working with wood, plumbing and general maintenance, but this is my first foray into electrical. It took a lot of research and a few new tools (heavy gauge wire crimpers), but my main electronics board is nearly complete!!

Looks like a mess from the back...
    elec - back.jpg

But nice and tidy (for the most part) in front!
    elec - front.jpg

    Full details coming soon...
