Was scheduled to start a 3 day job today. Customer just had a basement framed, drywalled and painted. I was installing doors and trim. Was informed last night that the doors that were delivered (3 weeks ago) are the wrong size. New ones need to be ordered. Would have been nice to have been told weeks ago. Scrambling again to fill these days. Rainy these next few days, so I'm limited to interior work. UGH!!!!

Got my work truck back. Its now officially cost more to fix than the truck itself cost initially.

 

That should be good for a few months

 

Not even. Its going back tomorrow. Between 30-50 the truck shudders for a few secs every 30 secs or so. Thought it was pavement but 3 hours later of driving and its still doing it. And missing second gear. Gold star to Chevy.

 

I just made both my bosses peer through my door with how hard I just laughed. What a pile o sheet!

The new job is going really well. My direct boss took last week off for a vacation, and he's been there 32 years, does all the books and invoicing. So I got the real trial by fire last week trying to keep up with customer orders, invoicing, and ordering parts for current projects in the shop. They did end up hiring another mechanic so I won't have to be doing the sanders as initially thought. Between the owner of the company and myself, we managed to not need to call the guy on vacation all week, which I consider pretty good for 3 weeks training beforehand.
