Same as what James said above, wish I could've joined but glad to see the group had a good time! Went out to change my oil before the event today and found I have what looks like a pretty good size front main seal leak so it's parked for the moment.

Oh there will be some mods all right
That's lame! Hopefully it's actually something more simple that just looks like a main seal leak!

Great to see everyone again. Weather couldn't have been any better. Great location! Thanks Dean for getting this together.

Dan, Jason, did you guys see that buck standing just across from the parking area? Rack looked like 8 points. Was in no hurry to leave the area.

    No,
I was wondering why you were stopped on the wrong side of road.

I didn't see it either. Those city deer are in no hurry. They know they're safe for the most part.

As others have said, @rubbersidedown thanks for organizing yesterday. It was a great idea, and was even better with the perfect weather.

Reminder of the Toyota meet and greet at Rock Cut State Park, IL on Nov.5th. Anyone interested in going?

If I can get enough done next weekend, it could be a go.

Thank you @OldSchlPunk! And at first I was more worried about her misbehaving around you guys than the other way around

@rubbersidedown Here's that oil change tool I mentioned. They have a kit with the housing wrench and screw-on funnel but you could do without those if you already have them.

I need to fix my newly identified problems but if I can get that done I plan to go. Not far from me and not a bad weekend drive. If my foot heals up might even camp and hike a bit (though sadly the entire park is alcohol free, booo).

I think I'm in on this one. It's less than 1.5 hours from me. Anyone who might pass through Jefferson county on their way would be welcome to meet up here in the morning.

Thanks! Very similar setup to the one I have for the old Audi. It's in the cart. :spending:

I'll be driving I-43 then onto I-90 to cross into IL. Is there a good spot for everyone to meet around Beloit before crossing into Illinois?

Event starts at 10 and the Park is about 20 min from Beloit. So I propose meeting around 9ish for the usual B.S. and depart to the park around 9:30?

There are a few gas stations right where 43 comes into town. There's also a family restaurant, if people wanted to meet earlier and get breakfast/coffee

I'd be open to either option.

This will be a good excuse to get the first gen put back together for me. There’s a couple of big gas stations in South Beloit that are easy to meet at right off the highway

I like the breakfast idea! Meet for breakfast at some time between 8-8:30, still leave for the park by 9:30. If someone is not interested in breakfast just be there by 9:15 to join the group for the convoy. Would something like that work?

Get it together! Would be great to meet you.
