Maybe start a poll or at least get a count for breakfast so if the group gets over 5 or 6 we can call the restaurant ahead of time to let them know.

    It does look interesting.
@Thatbassguy I could meet you in Jefferson. I'd be taking Hwy 26.
Only thing that would keep me from not going is it's prime time deer hunting. But, I always have time for that.

Anyone want this? Happy to bring it to Rock Cut next weekend or Madison whenever I’m up there. Located in Rockford-ish IL. Just make me an offer, I want it out of my shop. I’ll include the fender it was on for a template too. Came off a 2011

I'm trying to find a good spot near where 106 meets 26. Maybe a gas station in Fort Atkinson. :notsure:

Or, we can just meet at Road Dawg with the others.

I'll take 151 to 90. I forgot just how much I dislike taking 26 until it becomes 4 lane.

Dan, take 151 to A at Beaver Dam over to 26. A isn't too bad traffic wise and when you get to 26, it's only a couple of miles to 4-lane. There is one little town you have to slow for (think Rosendale for speed, just not as bad). I agree that 26 straight down is a PITA.

Ok. I'll see you in Beloit! :)

I've taken this route before. It a good ride. Just don't speed on A! I got a warning there.

Interesting info I learned about County A...When WalMart decided to put their DC there, they paid much of the cost of rebuilding A so their trucks would have a "shortcut" to 26. Now, they probably got some kind of tax break for their "generosity"...still, glad they did it. It's a nice road and beats the hell out of driving through Juneau.

So, does anyone recognize this bear?

It almost looks like the one we saw during Pat's North Woods and Fire Tower Tour.

I think so. I still wonder what happened there.

Well… I just got back from our annual Whiskey, Guns and Chainsaws weekend at the Sharpless Compound. We were shooting the breeze around the campfire and I overheard Jerry talking about seeing a couple eagles swooping very low over his head as he was out riding his fat tire bike. Then he saw a flock of blackbirds fly past to the same area, so he decided to investigate. He came across this dead bear. My ears perked up and I asked him where this was? He said it was near his cabin, a few miles west of Washburn. I told him of our bear sighting while in our off-road group, and he remembered seeing us drive by! He remembered it because he said it’s very rare to see that many Toyota in a group out in the middle of nowhere. I mentioned a few of the other spots we visited. He gave me this picture. What a small world.

Me too! The crazy part is when I told him where we camped, he said we drove right past his cabin, it’s about half a mile from the campground entrance!

It’s a good thing I committed to driving the first gen because it motivated me to get moving on it finally.

    Started this weekend here:

    13131668-ED13-42F0-ADD2-83000B930A7B.jpg

And ended here: Traction bar relocated, axle repainted, frame painted, and body paint touched. Still need to get some details done but it should be a good road shakedown next weekend

Nice, looking forward to checking it out! Is that a stock style leaf pack or did you do a 63" swap?

They are stock style for a pickup and I don’t remember off the top of my head if they are the same. Like a 51” spring length if I remember correctly.
