That horseshoe bar for the blade is interesting. I'm hoping @RustyGreen can shed some light on why that is shaped that way.

 

Pressed, just tap it gently side to side with a soft face hammer and it should loosen up.

I was wondering about that myself, there must have been a special purpose as most machines with cable lift don't seem to have the blade attached that way.

The guy did paint it, afraid I'm gonna mess it up getting the tube and a couple plugs out.

Oh, no. I wasn't saying that I dislike FL. Been to Orange Beach and liked it a bunch. Our honeymoon cruise left out of Port Canaveral, and the little bit I saw of FL seemed nice. It's just that, at this point in time, I don't see me ever having another vacation.
