Now that l know where to look I can check the wheel well and see it there is wiring at the very least. But the little door thingy cutouts aren’t there. Just a composite bed shell.

Huh that's interesting. I wonder if there's anything behind there now.

Your ‘18 SR5 has the cutouts / cover panels for the bed lights?

No, I think we got it mixed up. In that message I was referring to it having that little storage compartment in the inner side of the bed

I think in 2019 Toyota cheaped out and took out driver side storage. Annoying.

is there anything behind there? I don’t think so as some people have cut one in to put a storage container into the side of the bed. Obviously check your own vehicle before attempting

That sucks. I guess for once we can't blame it on the corona, I thought it was because they put something behind it or it wasn't on the base model

Haven’t looked yet but I’m not holding my breath. I’m still waiting for the weather to dry out so I can finish the interior red led set up. ( just need some zip ties)

They definitely cheaped out. No cargo lamp. For starters

The wiring for the bed lights is behind the tail lights; you have to remove them to find the plug (and it is capped). Although if you don't have the pop-off panels it would make the job harder (took me 30 minutes).

I don't have that driver's side storage on my '22, but just a tiny one on the passenger side. Haven't figured out what to use it for yet as there are some holes out the bottom where the hinges are. Maybe something small that can get wet/dirty...rocks?

I can see a good case for a 2WD Sport, but can't quite wrap my head around a 2WD Off-road.

That little cubby is perfect for my ratcheting tie-down straps, and perfect location too because it's right in the bed where you'd need them.

I put straps and bungies in a bag in there, seems to work fine
