040 Super White has a white primer applied before the base coat. That green color you are seeing is the E.D. coat for corrosion protection. It's applied before the primer. The fact that the E.D. is showing indicates a primer adhesion issue. Has nothing to do with the single stage base.

I’m happy with the way it turned out, considering all I used were spray cans. :D

Saved myself well over $500-$700. :bananadance:

Had a can spray bomb made up locally.

Here’s the mixture if anyone wants it. They removed the BRONZE and TRANSPARENT tint to get almost an exact match. It was way too yellow with the original mix.

I will say SPRAYMAX 2K clear is truly amazing! Also used the SPRAYMAX SPOT BLENDER, blends in the clear coat with the original paint. Makes it look like you can hardly tell it’s been painted.

    Yeah dude, that looks awesome.

No point in paying thousands for a new paint job on a 10 year old truck.

Sad thing is, I bet this spray paint will last longer than Toyota’s paint.

I've tried rattle canning super white then put clear coat over that... and the clear coat quickly turned yellowish. :(

My first attempt…fail! Do not use acrylic clear coat btw! Stick with the SPRAYMAX 2K clear, well worth the money!

The scariest part was blending in the paint with the OEM paint, point of no return lol!

Used this YouTube video as my guide. Forgot to mention I used WHITE AUTOMOTIVE DUPLICOLOR PRIMER as well.

Have to take advantage of the 2K clear coat with only 48hrs of shelf life once the hardener is released.
