    I temporarily dezombified the truck before I bring it to the dealership to get the head gasket replaced. The zombie on the front came off because he would just get in the way, and the truck will be spending some time unattended in the backlot, so I don't want anyone stealing the rest of my props...

    Nice! I'm a big Warren Zevon fan. Hard to believe that he's still not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

    I never got to see him play but he use to play Gullifty's right outside of Camp Hill/New Cumberland area about 10 minutes from my house.

    Mike in the service department is going to be texting me pictures of the progress. Worst case scenario, I'm going to be paying $500 extra to have the head milled, and if the head is warped then I will not get the truck back in time for Halloween; Mike thinks that once this job is done, my truck will have more than 100K left in it though...

    It's a completely subjective comment. What data does he have to support that statement? He has no clue how long that motor will last. No one does.

    My tundra has almost 300k on it. It hasn't been started or running since 2019 until recently. I'm on my third radiator. I've changed the timing belt once in all that time. I changed the oil once a year regardless of mileage I put on it. I use Mobil One and just topped it off as needed.

    My nephew is getting ready to get his license. He is interested in the truck. I told him I would sell it to him only if we got it running. My brother in law came over so we could tow it to his house. With a jump, the damn thing started right up with 3 year old gas.

    So now we are replacing some brake lines. We got the replacement tranny in it and filled.

    The truth is no one can tell you how long anything will last. It could last years and miles or seconds and feet. There is absolutely no way to know.
