Likely not an error, i just bought one from them for 600, same fork but 2020 model. They snatched up a bunch of stock from Ibis apparently. Comes shipped without OEM packaging from Fox.

It's what they badged/stickered the Fox 40 as when they first made it in 29er form. Looks like they've just gone back to Fox 40 and added a 27.5/29er option.

I’ve got to say, this bar is really innovative. It could be a staple in bike fittings to show the rider the difference.
It could be used for rental purposes, heck it’s almost worth owning and always having to test bar widths for different bikes over years.
Go in with friends and let it be a group bar for when someone get’s a new bike etc…

So 5Dev apparently offers a Superboost option for their cranks now which I don't remember seeing in the past. Anyone run these? I'm so lost in the numbers behind fitting a crankset on my Pivot Switchblade (Superboost & Sram DUB BB).

Sram dub is just the spindle diameter so if you have sram cranks you can keep the same bottom bracket as going with the Ride5Dev "Dub" cranks.

Superboost is confusing because it says the BB width and q-factor are the same but the chainline is different. I'd think if you run a non superboost crank you would need to run a special chain ring to get the right chain line.

    Pivot_Super Boost Plus_INTL.pdf (bicycleretailer.com)

Sram's crankset manual says you need some different spacers for Superboost compared to regular boost, not sure if this applies with the Ride5Dev cranks if you go with their superboost option. I'd probably hit up Ride5Dev and see what they say about setup because I would assume if you go with their superboost option you can use standard bottombracket spacers and chain ring.

    dub-mtb-and-road-cranksets-and-bottom-brackets-user-manual.pdf (sram.com)

Sram's manuals are super helpful in my opinion, makes everything nice and clear compared to other manuals I've seen haha.

Thanks man! Yeah that second link from Sram about spacers and spindle length was uber-helpful. I emailed 5Dev a little while ago to ask about spindle length. Looks like Superboost needs a PF 92mm spindle "width"

Looks like it was only in 2019 badging (release year), so I guess it was deemed too gimmicky to continue.

Bottom Brackets are so confusing haha. All superboost Sram cranks will have a wider width to accommodate different BB Widths. Then you just use the spacers to take up the slack.

My question would be, how many spacers do you need to run and whether you need a 0,3, or 6MM offset chainring. I would assume a regular 3MM but I have no idea haha.

To throw a wrench in the mix, it looks like The WAO Arrival uses superboost (157x12) but recommends a regular boost crank with 3mm offset chainring.

The best answer might be to find someone with your bike and ride5dev cranks and see what they run haha.

So I ended up splurging a little and getting the Ride NF pants, I think @whitedlite saved the day again with the coupon code he posted a while back.

I've got one ride in coolish weather, maybe low 50s/high 40s with a solid wind. They were pretty perfect that evening. Rode again yesterday at the new skills park in town in the 60s, pretty solid there too. I'm a fan so far. Haven't ridden with kneepads yet but there is plenty of room for kneepads, they also don't look like clown pants without kneepads haha.

I think I would probably rock these up to 70* at the bike park. Definitely not doing a trail ride with these above 60 though, maybe not even above 55 haha.

If it’s a night ride I’ll ride in them below 70, if it’s daytime it has to be below 55 or at a downhill park.

That sunlight heats you up rather it’s actually hot.

Did the coupon work for you and when did you use it?

Yeah that sun definitely matters, especially this time of the year where you can wear shorts in the sun and pants in the shade haha. We won't have any shade here in a couple weeks though.

The coupon did work, It was the end of September that I used it. Took like a week for them to get here.

Not a city park. Our system is similar to Kingdom Trails in that it incorporates about 25 private land easements. Available to ride 24/7
