I've taken my Taco to the dealership twice. First they said shocks, then they said loose hubcap covers. I have a lift, but the noise happens even when I'm driving. Any ideas please?

Done by me: decals, plastidip, and vinyl. More to come. Not done by me: Icon front/rear suspension; Total Chaos UCA’s; Method wheels/34” Falken tires; Prinsu cab rack/LED light bar; V1Air compressor piped to a 2.5 gallon underbed tank; Pelfreybilt front/rear bumpers; Smittybilt front winch.
If you can have someone bounce on your truck while you’re listening, it may help you narrow it down. That’s how I narrowed mine down to my lower shock mount ball joint needing replaced.

Need more info, chirping squeak sound while accelerating is a u joint thats dry and dying. Squeak/creak while turning can be shocks or (usually) a bad lower balljoint. Check the balljoint by jacking up from the lower control arm NOT THE FRAME.

Chirping squeak, but it does it even if you're climbing in the truck, driving down the street, anytime the frame moves

mine squeaked because the front sway bar and another time it was the rear leaf spring bushings. greasing the bushings solved it each time.

Got to be something suspension related then. rock the truck side to side pretty hard and you should be able to narrow it down.

Something like $35-40 direct from Icon.

If you have Icon shocks though, see if you can find some from another dealer before ordering direct from them, or call them first maybe. Icon gave me no option for expedited shipping, since they “attempt to find the closest shipping starting point” and I ended up waiting a week and a half or so. If they’d have offered priority mail from their location, I’d have had it installed before the trip I was hoping for.

    Live and learn.
