Your observation is humorous in its simple assumptions and false in its conclusions. I am opposed to neither hunting nor eating meat, and as a Loner, have avoided Crowd-Think for virtually all of my life. I no longer enumerate my divergent values as forcefully as I once did, in recognition of the mindless power of a mob.

I was born at UC Med on Parnassus street and raised in the Sunnyside district of San Francisco where I lived or close by in the city till I was 29. I moved to the Peninsula then to the East Bay when I turned 37. I have hunted all western states and some midwestern states and the Catskills of New York. I would rather eat game than anything else. I have lifelong friends who have a similar story. All SF natives. We aren’t the issue, it’s the people that come here for the freedoms they don’t have at home. We have alway been a friendly accepting culture. It might have ruined the city, but who am I to say they are wrong? I don’t judge, that’s a job for a higher power. I left because of the way it was going. But I still call it home.

I can relate. My dad used to say “If you knew how little people think of you, you wouldn’t care what they think” . I have a nice life. It’s 73° and it’s October……..

    Afternoon all:
I think I would also fit into the loner definition Alan, almost everything I do can be done by me and me alone. Three of the biggies that have occupied my time over the years are hunting, fishing, and looking for Indian artifacts, all of which I can do by myself, and all outdoors. Never liked being part of something such as cub/boy scouts, the Masons, etc., not that I have anything against them, just not for me. I also kept my "new" 66 Impala around with a 425hp 427 in it, I like being able to fire it up and go for a ride when I so desire, again, a loner thing and not everyone has one of them to play with! :)
And talk about being a loner, I am also a bachelor, can't be more of a loner than being a bachelor !!!!!!

    Morning folks:hattip:
Well, our friends we are staying with in Australia both tested positive for:annoyed:the big C :annoyed:. The missus and I tested yesterday, negative and today, negative. We both have a cough and tired a bit other than that okay. This puts touring off until next week.
In New Zealand the deer were nearly hunted to extinction so the powers that be allowed ranchers to raise deer for sale like cattle. Saw a lot of ranches with deer, some with sheep. A few were raising alpacas as well.
Saw more kangaroo and wombat road kills than I saw live ones. As populations grow and spread and take over their homeland they move to find a safe territory and they end up as road kill. So sad.
Have a great day all and be safe.

It was so weird driving through New Zealand and seeing these herds of deer laying down in those high fenced fields.

one guy told us they exported it to Germany mostly.

Same here. We're at resonance out here in the boonies, especially now with the big C swirling around. We have family ~50 miles away, just enough to keep it inconvenient. We make good use of family gatherings, email, text, phone, facetime, etc... seems to satisfy us. Once or twice a year we'll get everyone together and catch up, with some hands-on. Then, we're always glad to get back to "normal".

Hope you do not test positive.

Good morning. Sort of a mild busy day today. Three errands to run, practice the guitar and make Baked Ziti for the wife and son. I will have some Pasta Plus. While Pasta Plus is not baked ziti with some decent sauce and parmesan cheese it is not bad at all.

    Morning all:

Hope you stay negative Ken, and if you should test positive, you can only hope it's just a mild version like my buddy and I experienced. :fingerscrossed:
I tend to agree with Mike, it's not if you get it, it's when you get it. I thought I might be immune to it, I don't get sick very often, it took a while, but it looks like I wasn't! :(

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! Well, we're still here. Can't just have a thunderstorm, but at least we didn't have any possible tornados. Got 1.15", and high winds, but trash bags still out by the can, and only 3 potted hibiscus blown over. The pool is full of Ash helicopters though. Clean that up after some more coffee.

Hope you avoid the Covid Ken - remember; everyone was sick last week, so you don't need it this week.

Thanks Carl. I am going to check again today and see what it brings. So far all I seem to have is a cold and cough. Same with the wife. At first I thought it was allergy because down under it is spring and pollen is here and well . Could be a combination of both.

Have a good night and good luck on the hunt:thumbsup:

    Good morning fellow Porchatonians!!

Started working on the coolant system replacement on the Z3 yesterday - most has been going well.....most. Looks like I have to pull the manifold off to get at the pieces on the top of the engine. Ugh.
