Just noticed the Hang Seng got the shit beat out of it today. 6.4% is a huge drop. No wonder the Nasdaq was spooky most of the day. lol

That’s why I made some weekly call purchases on the dip after the open… I correctly predicted that it was just a fear reaction.

TA cannot work and will never work in a market where the MM's can provide "liquidity" as needed.

Not in your name, not your shares. Everything else the market does is just noise to make retail feel like they're involved in some way.

 

This has always been my question…if everyone uses the system to determine when to buy and sell is it the system or the people Religiously following a system? Either way it always results in the same outcome that the system works… Self-fulfilling prophecy

It's the system. If you take all of retail's dollars combined (aside from their monthly 401k contributions in hopes of seeing some sort of returns before dying of old age), it's paltry couch change compared to the bigger funds that own the markets, the people who legislate the markets, and the people that are supposed to enforce the markets.

The whole system is built to extract your money from you. That's the entire reason it exists.

TA has it's merits but i've never met anyone that does a lot of it with out using it as cope-ium. There's always something they see in the chart that means it's gonna go up soon

* stock proceeds to find new low * 'It moved out of the shart channel that's why my previous TA was off'

Take an hour and use MACD, RSI, Bollinger Bands and Donchian channels. Pick 10 random charts and tell me what the success rate of those 4 signals combined is. I'll give you a hint. It's WAY over 50%. lol
