Thanks for sharing. I'd been contemplating this, but figured it wouldnt work long term, or at all in your case.

Is this because of the chunky tires? I see a lot of people doing noise deadening mods, but I only run some regular street tires on mine (for now)

just quiets it down quite a bit. Chunky tires dont help with road noise for sure.

Maybe I'll have to do that for mine someday. I heard the back wall and the doors are the places to do it.

the wait times for the mavericks are atrocious. the last i check they are out of sign up for 2023 models. so they have to wait till the 2024 models allocation opens.
so most of the people who found an allocation are buying the vehicle maybe driving to another Dealer and getting a big phat check making profits.
people are going mad for the little truck that can do 50mpg hybrid or 35-40 in the ecoboost.

This morning I noticed that someone backed into me. It happened sometime over the past week and I’m not sure how much this would cost or if I should start a claim? Anybody have any insight for me?

Just buy a new cap and fix it yourself or use this to get a metal rear bumper. The insurance rate increase and possible deductible will be more than the repair

Absolute best spot to get damaged at in the back. Those caps are individually replaceable.

I asked about reserving a hybrid vehicle (not a Tacoma of course) at several Toyota dealers. After they stopped laughing they told me they are no longer taking reservations since they have more reservations than they expect to get in more than a year.
It's probably safe to say that those who want a Tacoma and those who want a Maverick are probably two very distinct groups.
