With the prevalence of ARs in the hands of dang near everyone now, They aren't exactly wrong, but do sell it short.

@RustyGreen I took your advice and watched the original “Gone in 60 seconds” not bad. Only thing that kills me watching old movies with car chases is seeing them smash some really nice cars. Few times I said O don’t hit that car! And they did.

I'll admit the AR is a lot easier to train people up on and has some good advantages but for decisive terminal effectiveness you can’t beat the 12 gauge. Going through a door for an armed bad guy, especially with good intel that there are no friendlies inside, I’ll grab the shotty every time.

Yep, it is incredibly effective at what it does.

You get so spoiled by bridge cranes .

Even a Jib crane would be nice at home!

Just finished getting 2 150 foot long, 50 foot wide, and 30 foot tall freestanding systems with multiple bridges installed at work. That was a nightmare…. Can say I will go out of my way to avoid dealing with material handling systems in the future. They built the bridges and structure and shipped them ready to erect. All bolt together. Problem was the end trucks were built for a 4 inch ibeam, and this system used and 8 inch. Milwaukee mag drill made pretty quick work of that 3/8 steel though. But they work good minus the odd connection issues it had the first week that have never repeated. Even went extra fancy with the wireless controllers. Was messing with the guys the other day by using the back up remote from clear across the hangar ( about 300 feet away).

I know, so many cool cars died for our entertainment in the 70s-80s movies.

Back then though they were just used cars. A car with 100k miles was just about worthless for selling purposes.

The fact that it was entirely a do it yourself movie - written, directed, stunts, starred in, financed, distributed all by Halicki is amazing to me.

    Glad you enjoyed!

I’m looking forward to it! Since I’m retired it’s kinda entertainment for me, I’ll still work hard and I’m there to learn but it’s going to be really enjoyable watching my son.

Steve Fisher is the instructor, his training company is Sentinel Concepts. He’s one of the few who teaches shotgun stuff. He’s also damn good at pistols and ARs, I highly recommend him.

Kid has his quarterly appointment today and, bonus, he has to do his annual glucose tolerance test.

It has to be fasting so he can't eat until it's over and they give him some syrupy stuff to drink to spike his blood sugar.

During this process, he basically turns into an asshole because of the extreme highs and lows.

    Today's going to be fun.
