Drive past this 3rd gen Fat Lipper for sale last couple days. NOWHERE near as clean as @TeecoTaco 4Runner. Guess it depends if your son wants a driver, or something to beat on. Automatic, cloth interior, bit of body rust (pass side rocker shown in pic 3), bit of frame rust, but looks pretty solid for 20 years old.

So that's a limited (I assume with the flares) and some have Rearr Locker (mine does not). My 97 SR5 had rear factory locker, my 99 doesn't.

I am second owner. First owner was anal when it came to dealer recommended maintenance. He's actually a buddy of mine, and it took 2 yrs of hounding him to finally get him to sell it to me. 235k when I bought it 6 yrs ago...about 250k now, I'd have to look

 

@19Canuck I can peak through the drivers window for E-locker button if you’re interested.

@TeecoTaco I assumed all Limiteds had leather interior, But I must admit that 3rd gens are my least knowledgeable of the blood line. Besides shuffling my 3rd gen engine donor around the driveway about 2 car lengths at a time, I’ve never been in a 3rd gen (or 2nd gen). I’ve had 4 first gens now, my neighbour has a 4th I maintain, and I test drove a 5th gen a couple years ago.
