What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

3.5L V6 - I would post a pic but a rodent chewed most of it away. There’s a foam rubber piece on the drivers cylinder head at the end near the firewall. See pic (screen grab from spark plug change video): below gloved thumb and red arrows pointing at it.

Anyone know its purpose (noise dampener?) and if it’s necessary? If needed, anyone got a part number?

There’s a similar piece on the passenger side that is mostly untouched. A bit different shape, however.

Half ass got my taco'd front bumper to fit by chopping the wings off, got new to me stock headlights in, and swapped tailights since I also blew those out this last trip.

What are you doing with your OEM tails? I want to try a BSM sensor relocate to the reverse light location, and looking for OEM takeoffs for cheap.

 

There's not really anywhere to put small bits of trash in this truck and the little square pocket behind the shifter is pretty useless.. so enter the Tacos4Cheap bucket/coin sorter. I chose the empty box style as I never carry change around and wanted a place to throw straw wrappers and etc. Out of the box it didn't fit great and required me to line the complete exterior with felt tape to avoid rattles but it fits perfect now after 1 layer all the way around and 2 on the bottom. Another subtle MGM accent added to my interior.

Also mmmm that shift knob.

 

Is there anything like this that wires into the factory bed light harness? I have a '20 OR so its already pre-wired to the switch on the dash.
