Finally got my softopper and installed it. New offroad take offs with the tvd vinyl wrapped in some fresh Michelin LTX AT 2's. Just installed desert does it seat jackers, as well as the Roam phone mount. I also grabbed a softopper cage rack for my future build plans... this will be my last update until spring unless black friday sales are this year. Pretty excited on what's to come in the not so distant future. We are going to see what these 3rd gen 4 bangers are really capable of. Full send

 

Was able to take my off day Sunday and finish the leather upholstery project up with the back seats.

 

That was my first impulse but then I said why should I got through that effort and why haven't I heard of this problem from others. I'm waiting for a response from the seller and maybe hearing from other Taco owners that have done this before making a decision.

3.5L V6 - I would post a pic but a rodent chewed most of it away. There’s a foam rubber piece on the drivers cylinder head at the end near the firewall. See pic (screen grab from spark plug change video): below gloved thumb and red arrows pointing at it.

Anyone know its purpose (noise dampener?) and if it’s necessary? If needed, anyone got a part number?

There’s a similar piece on the passenger side that is mostly untouched. A bit different shape, however.

Half ass got my taco'd front bumper to fit by chopping the wings off, got new to me stock headlights in, and swapped tailights since I also blew those out this last trip.

 

Hope they work out. Sorry there nuttin fancy.
