    I grew up Iowa and live in Great Falls, MT, though I am currently 2 months deep in 6 month deployment in Afghanistan. In 2008 I joined the USAF at the tender age of 26 after working farms and construction for more years than I cared to. I work as a vehicle mechanic and most of the time I love my job. I am an ice and open water fishing addict and love rock crawling and trail riding ATV's.

    I've owned a 2005 regular cab Tacoma 4x4 with a 2.7 since 2007, though I've been a fan of them since as long as they've been out. I've googled plenty of questions over the last few years and have found myself browsing these forums many times, so I finally decided I'd better join.

    The truck hasn't had a single issue in the 50k I've put on it. But I bought a Yamaha Grizzly a year ago and have hauled it thousands of miles to ride and I am growing tired of the 2.7 and I've been tired of the regular cab since I bought it. I am also planning on purchasing a 17' (weighs 4k maxed out w/ trailer)fishing boat in the near future, so it's up grade time. I am looking to purchase something a few years newer with a double cab and a 4.0.

    I had been tossing around the idea of buying a full sized domestic, but I just don't care for any of them and from what I've been seeing and reading the 4.0's seem perfectly capable for what I will using it for.

    Anyways, I look forward to learning from this place.
