Nothing wrong with plastidip. I think it’s more of why are you wrapping just the tailgate.

Like a few others said, if it’s sucks just peel it off. It’s a lot cheaper than vinyl wrap.

I wrapped most of my tailgate (along with my hood and roof) actually opposite of
And l love the way it came out. I was debating going the dip route as well cause I have a bunch leftover, but I ended up just getting it done with vinyl. Personally I've used both and had both last a while without problems, but i find vinyl is easier to clean. At least with plastidip, if you don't like it, it's fairly easy to remove.

I have a lot of black mixed into the inferno, so it matches my theme.

Why did you buy silver, and, just start spraying until fourth can is empty. See how far you can get.

Black tailgate will look like shit on a silver truck.

Plastidip works best with a light coat first then heavy coats.

I suggest using the first two cans to lightly mist the whole truck. Then, with the remaining two cans, start at the tailgate with heavy coats and see how far you get.

I prefer the old-school tailgate murals.

Just be warned that they charge extra if you DONT include one of the following elements:
    -Virgin Mary
    -A hot girl
    -A waterfall and/or a beach
-your own truck, on your truck.

    That tailgate belongs in Texas.

Around here it's skulls and pitbulls.

Also my entire truck will probably be plasti-dipped, it couldn't be any worse than the factory white paint.
