@Lucario Runner always. did the math when we sold the kits to others. It works with most 15/16 MC but I found out there's some variation thru the years. At any rate, if it's custom, you should do the maths on any kit company. I wouldn't blame the caliper as much as the user for flubbing

on my end @jamesepoop technically I was using 4runner/FJ spec pistons not Tacoma so there was that. I would say they were still nice but too many horror stories of people flat-out saying no to Wilwood and when I did the rear and considered SOS specs of all their Toyo setups it made sense to me. Willwood is popular in the fab and race crews due to their universal mounting and use. I knew about wilwoods for years for hot rods and older cars.

What is old about the Wilwood we are using? I do know its the higher spec Aero-6 calipers and not the Superlite (which is a lower end Calipers to the Aero-6)?

I still have both and thought about doing a comparison. It felt pretty good sometimes better pedal feel when i had the willwood front and stoptech rears but not sure if that's just me thinking it. With both Stoptech F/R I get a very firm pedal. Almost too firm would be my own complaint.

    Yes
Adds a nice little touch doesn’t it ;)

    Here’s the link: https://www.ch4x4.com/product/ch4x4-dual-push-switch-for-toyota-front-rear-lock-symbol/

FYI, if he ends up getting it, let me know. They have a manufacturing issue with their boards that had me chasing an electrical issue for HOURS. Essentially the ignition 12v and illumination (headlights) 12v are on the same trace on the board. This resulted in my locker engaging when I would turn my lights on… absolutely no bueno

I ended up just not tying the switch into the illumination circuit so the buttons stay lit up all the time (which I could care less about).

good ole cheap Chinese products but only one that I could find that would keep it looking OEM as possible

you can see pins 2 & 4 are tied into the same trace which was causing the issue

I apologize.. I'm sure you guys are getting tired of seeing my 3.5L exploits. But it's fun to see how this thing responds..

Did a small pulley upgrade (Otherwise 100% stock truck):
    90mm vs 87mm

Superlite models have been out awhile before Aero6 we're available for newer 15" rotors. Not like it would matter since most of us are limited by wheel diameter.

Firmness is preference. It can be tuned with pad type/compound. Some pads have a little more give. Unfortunately they're a race caliper/pad so you'll need more of a street/truck oriented pad. I do remember us going back and forth about the MC size. While it matched better than the 4R "bbk" upgrade, there's still some fractional margin to be desired. SOS/Stoptech is definitely a solution.

Interesting. The HP % gain, is nearly identical to the pulley percent difference.

gotcha yah I know ow superlite was out before you noted old. the Aero6 my understanding is the caliper that you would find on a trophy truck using willwoods vs the superlite (they also have higher end version on top of that ) but 300 vs 600 a calipers. Either way they seemed find I just got really bad wear on my pads.

I think with the electronic master the Piston size is not as much of an issue it seems. with willwoods i was running bp-20 pads (i assume you are as well) with the stoptechs I am using Hawk HP pads which are a sportier version with stoptech sport in the rear. I can dig it up SOS send me over the piston difference of the t4r and tacoma stoptech versions.

Does the fuel pump have to be upgraded like on the 3d gens or is the stock fp good to go?

At this power level the stock pump is holding up. Time will tell if that changes as the pump ages.

Anyone with the 76mm TB and a TRD intake which coupler or what did you do to connect? I thought since I technically had the 4runner setup before I may be able to it, but that's 70mm not 76mm so def won't fit. The TRD intake has a hose i the coupler so Either I need to use that and daisy chain another coupler and some pipe between them or maybe someone has used another version from another vehicle or really what did you do? The other version that were cut and moved not sure that will work for my use case.

The 2015 in Arab had an owner that never titled the vehicle in his name and both him and the previous owner refused to have the bill of sale notarized.

    I walked away.

Daughter is happy with the 2020 TRD OR

    Nope, not doing that again.

I'm tired of paying for 93 Octane and my 5.7l JGC is fast enough at this point. I'll probably do the OTT in b'ham this summer, for her truck.

i was able to stretch the boot of the aem momentum to fit the 76mm. its a pita though. i also didnt cut my intake tube. you could say its a tight fit.

yah seems like if my boot was new I may be able to do it. since its been hardened and formed to the current setup its not as flexible. how big was the aem momentum coupler? I tried yesterday and def thin if it was new I may be able to do it.
